A couple of walks with Carol & Chris

Just back from Broad Haven in Pembrokeshire where we enjoyed a lovely couple of days with our friends Carol and Chris. We managed to do a couple of short walks, albeit the second one was a bit on the wet side as we made our way to St Govan’s Chapel (shown below).

The day before that we had strolled in the sun along the coast near St David’s and seen people climbing and coasteering – swimming from rock outcrop to the next one and then diving into the sea.

Caerfai to Porth Clais and back – St David’s Pembrokeshire

After this walk we had a great BBQ on the beach at Abereiddi.

We finished the break with a lovely meal at The St Bride’s Inn at Little Haven. Recommended!

A walk in the Beacons

This walk of just over 7 miles was done with DeeJay and Penny and the two dogs on an absolutely splendid sunny and warm Sunday; just right for walking. I was glad to have taken a hat and a fleece however because it got quite chilly on the tops.

A slideshow of the photos from the walk can be found here, and the places they were taken might be shown on the map below (something which happens automatically if you use the GPS-enabled Lumix camera … which I do when I’m walking).

A walk in the Beacons at EveryTrail might be where this trail is stored. All my GPS-enabled walks were stored on Everytrail.

An inter-active version of the walk might be available here.

You might be able to also download the trip to look at in Google Earth here.
