A couple of walks with Carol & Chris

Just back from Broad Haven in Pembrokeshire where we enjoyed a lovely couple of days with our friends Carol and Chris. We managed to do a couple of short walks, albeit the second one was a bit on the wet side as we made our way to St Govan’s Chapel (shown below).

The day before that we had strolled in the sun along the coast near St David’s and seen people climbing and coasteering – swimming from rock outcrop to the next one and then diving into the sea.

Caerfai to Porth Clais and back – St David’s Pembrokeshire

After this walk we had a great BBQ on the beach at Abereiddi.

We finished the break with a lovely meal at The St Bride’s Inn at Little Haven. Recommended!

CeeDubs & GrandeCheese … smiling

This picture and the one below were taken at the end of our pre-Easter, post-UCISA Conference trip, by Rick Cryer during a lovely afternoon stop-over with him in Sheffield on the way back to Cardiff. Unfortunately for us Laura was away walking and camping in the Peak District and this day would have been the best one of that weekend. The weather up to the end of that week had been not bad, but had been really cold at night; we’d tested our new sleeping bags out well in #duettovan and they had passed with flying colours – thanks David (have you paid for them yet ??).

A picture of CeeDubs and GrandeCheese is a rare event, and to get two with both of us smiling is even rarer. Rick had to take several with mum confining most of them to the cutting-room floor before we came up with these two.
